Essay Competition 2026
Mahatma Gandhi Mission and Maharashtra Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Pune, cordially invite your students to participate in the Essay Competition organized as part of the All India Mahatma Gandhi Literary Conference (2nd) on October 8–9, 2026.
We request school principals, college deans, department heads, and faculty members to encourage students to research, reflect, and write on Gandhian philosophy and its modern global relevance. Prizes and certificates will be distributed during the conference on October 8–9, 2026.
Groups & Word Limits
Categories for school, college, and university students
Grade 7th to 10th
Open to all students currently studying in standard 7th, 8th, 9th, or 10th across all recognized schools.
- Must be original work by the student
- Accepted in English, Marathi, Hindi, or Urdu
Junior College to University / Postgraduate
Open to 11th & 12th students, Undergraduate (UG) scholars, Postgraduate (PG) students, and University scholars.
- In-depth analytical essays with clear references
- Accepted in English, Marathi, Hindi, or Urdu
Accepted Languages
Entries are welcomed in four languages. Submissions will be evaluated by language expert committees.
