About Shri Bibhuti Kumar Mishra
Shri Bibhuti Kumar Mishra is a nationally esteemed social reformer, grassroots nation-builder, and Gandhian leader whose three-decade journey has transformed rural India through women's empowerment, youth development, and peacebuilding.
As Founder of the Mahila Prabodhini Foundation, he has empowered 1.5 lakh rural women and 45,000 girls through 10,000+ Self Help Groups (SHGs), circulating ₹32 crore+ in savings with a 98% repayment rate, creating thousands of first-generation entrepreneurs and elected leaders.
As National President of Akhil Bharat Rachanatmak Samaj (ABRS), he leads Gandhian constructive work for peacebuilding among youth, rural transformation, and social harmony. He has been an invited speaker at the G-20 SDG Forum, GTZ-NABARD International Seminar, UNDP Financial Inclusion Panel, and NABARD State Seminar Series.
His work is rooted in struggle: he intervened in Naxal-affected tribal belts of Sonebhadra and Mirzapur, dismantling child labour and bonded labor systems, and championed Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) to design community-driven solutions for poverty eradication and women's empowerment.
Mr. Mishra's journey has been enriched by his association with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, HH Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, and Padma Vibhushan Dr. Sonal Mansingh. He has developed 100+ training modules for 15,000+ bankers, NGO workers, and facilitators, and is recognized by NABARD, GTZ, UNICEF, and the World Bank for pioneering grassroots models of empowerment.
He has received the Sadbhavna Samman from the Lt. Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Mandakini Samman from Delhi Vidhwat Parishad, Rashtriya Ekatma Samman from Bharat Bharati, and Vindhya Shri Samman from Hindustan Samachar.
